I would like to welcome you to my website. I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Yorba Linda, California. I have designed this site to let you know who I am and to give you information about my therapeutic style. I have a strong belief in the power of personal therapy and the therapeutic relationship.
I have over 17 years of experience helping clients face relationship problems, stress, anxiety, self-judgment, rejection, and depression and believe my role is to help my clients grow and change.
My approach is collaborative, direct, warm and individually tailored to each client’s unique challenges, strengths and goals.
I specialize in working with adults and couples who are facing challenges that can no longer be dealt with alone. I believe we all grow through the “challenge of change” and would love the opportunity to work with you individually or as a couple.
For therapy, I integrate different theoretical orientations based on each client’s goals; preferences and unique personality style.
I believe that we all can grow, make positive changes, improve our lives and heal no matter what challenges we face. We all have the capacity for learning, admitting and fixing mistakes, increasing personal awareness, choosing self-acceptance and making choices to create a life that feels more congruent.
I have designed my therapy office to create a safe and trusting space for clients to explore issues that often feel confusing, painful and overwhelming. I am compassionate, honest and can easily establish a trusting bond with clients.
Therapy is a process that will require you to have the courage to look intimately at the different areas of your life and some areas will be harder than others. Whatever you are currently facing, I will listen carefully and provide you with insight and resources to help you create the changes you are seeking. Therapy is an investment of time, effort and energy, so I would like to suggest you come to therapy when you have time to reflect upon and integrate the new ideas we’ve discussed during our therapy sessions.
In addition to private practice, I am a Professor at Pepperdine University’s Masters of Clinical Psychology program teaching students entering the therapy profession psychology counseling skills, psychology theory and effective theoretical interventions.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
